Well Over a Million Again in Tax Refunds
We refunded well over a million again this month making many thousands of people a little more well off before Christmas. Once again we broke the $10,000 with 4 lucky New Zealander’s receiving over $10,000 dollars each. So congratulations to all our customers, we hope your tax refunds help towards this years holiday season or bills!

Lots of Big Tax Refunds!
I have just signed another large tax refund cheque for David from Whangarei for $11,854.00 and I thought it would be a great idea to ask around the office for large refunds over the last 3 or so months. Of course these size refunds don’t happen everyday, but when they do we end up with very happy customers!
So here is the list we came up with:
David (Whangarei) – $11,854.00
Marie (Lower Hutt) – $13,354.00
Anthony (Auckland) – $40,000.00
Keith (Auckland) – $16,451.00
Emily (Canterbury) – $9,856.00
Awesome refunds – of course most people get our average of $480.00. But that’s still better than nothing!

Our Big Day Out
In preparation for a big Tax Refund Christmas we had our team Christmas function early this year. All staff had a great ‘Big Day Out’ all in mufti with bowling, go karting and having a bit of lunch. We broke into 4 teams for the day and I would like to say my team won the bowling and the go karts, but unfortunately my team came last at both events!

So we are now all back at work and already making great progress through the large pile of people wanting their tax refund before Christmas. At this stage most people should be still getting their tax refund within 5 to 10 days after applying. So get in now and you should have your refund in the next couple of weeks.

News: Auckland man gets big tax refund
Auckland man gets big tax refund
An Auckland man is $40,000 better off – having just been told he’s up for one of the biggest tax refunds so far in New Zealand.
Business consultant Antony Taylor says he was completely taken by surprise with the outcome of his application through the online tax refund agency MyTax.co.nz.
“At first when they rang I thought it was a wind up,” he says. “I wasn’t even going to apply, a friend told me to and after consideration I thought it’s not a lot to pay – just 12.5% if I get anything back.”

Refund Update – 2 Million $$$ in Tax Refunded last month
Last month (September 2009) between taxreturn.co.nz and mytax.co.nz we refunded nearly 2 million dollars back into the NZ economy. Our average refund so far for the 2009 financial year is $447 dollars per person.
We have made a lot of people very happy so far this year.
